Today i, Mubashir Abbas want to introduce you a Eyeborg.
Rob Spence, also known as Eyeborg, lost his eye due to the accident, and ever since then, Rob has been working with the team of engineers to develop a camera replacement for his lost eye. Together they have managed to transform an endoscope into a working video camera that is placed inside of Rob’s eye socket. As for this camera, it transmits the wireless video signal to a handheld LCD viewer wirelessly, and Rob turns the camera by moving the magnet in front of the camera. So far, this camera isn’t connected to Rob’s brain, but someday scientists might find a way to do that.
Bionic eyes are still far away, but scientists believe that they will manage to connect bionic eye with a visual cortex someday in the future and help many visually impaired worldwide.

Social Networking sites, as everything in this world, bring about two extreme reactions. You either like it blindly or hate it like your ex – girlfriend. There can’t be another way. I am more than sure thatall of ushave heard these two opposite sentences at least once in our lives, “I cannot live a single day without a Social Networking site” and “What on earth are all these Social networks about? I’ll never register on any of them”.
There is still some group of people (mostlyelderly people) that doesn’t comprehend the essence and idea of Social Networks considering them just a waste of time. However it is not casual that these sites havetemptedmillions of people worldwide. So there must be something that is worth having. The questionis what it exactly is.
No one can deny that despite all those negative opinions about Social Networks they do have a strong impact on us and taking into consideration how fast their popularity is growing, it is not difficult to predict that this influence will become even more perceivable in the nearest future. So once we cando nothingbut watch the development of Social Networks we had better look for and find the advantages they possess rather than point out their negative sides all the time (don’t be so skeptical, they do have positive sides).
In general the main vocation of a Social Network is to be a virtual platform where people can communicate and share information with their friends. As you can see there is no danger in this mission, theviceversa.Nevertheless, nowadays such kind of websites has gone far from their initial destination and that is the main reason why people are ambiguous about their usefulness. In any case Social websites have fulfilled humans’ long –standingdream that is the opportunity for quick and reliable information. In addition they enable people to create and strengthen relationships.
Social Networks join people with common interestsunder one roofand makes the communication much easier especially for those who have difficulties in interacting with people face to face. However you should always remember that once you enter the world of Social Networking it will become rather difficult for you to get out of it. So be so prudent in order not to becaught inthe net of Social networking.
Matthew Epstein wants to work at Google, bad. In his quest for a gig on the company’s product marketing team, he’s set up this cool website, and more interestingly, made the video below.(Via Hacker News, where he’s evidently being criticized by people who appear to be extremely passionate about criticizing other people relentlessly).
Googlepleasehire.me (get it, me? Matthew Epstein? Ha!) has been live for a couple of days now, and at the time of the launch Epstein wrote that this is just the beginning of his quest to land a job at Google:
I have several big marketing and PR initiatives scheduled and I can’t wait for Google and everyone else to see them. The next 21 days will prove whether I walk the walk or just talk the talk.
This isn’t about proving to people that I excel at marketing, this is about proving to myself that I have what it takes to solve complicated problems with enthusiasm and passion.
Also, making rather amusing videos.
For what it’s worth, Google has already gotten in touch with Epstein but informed him that he should go through the standard hiring processes over there (which he’s fine with).
My spider senses are betting on Epstein getting hired rather swiftly, though.
in response of above, John Ellis from the University of Liverpool said:"For somebody so confident I don't see why he doesn't go for a real challenge. Google's brand is already strong enough for it to force itself into any market- browsers, social media etc. I would like to see people with passion and determination working where it makes sense.
Rather than begging a large company for a job because it's cool to work there he could work for one of the very large companies who are trying to compete- I'd rather work for an underdog with deep-pockets than work marketting for a company that barely needs it".
Apple iPhone: Apple is currently looking at new ways to charge its six generation iPhone without the need for cables.
Its still unclear as to what method of iPhone charging Apple is working on, but induction charging might be a preferred way, allowing you to place your iPhone on a charging pad to top up your battery. This new method of charging and Apple’s new cloud storage might see the end of sync cables and docks.
Investors expect a bigger boost to Apple’s phone business next year. People briefed on Apple’s plans said the company is planning a major iPhone revamp then, with one person saying the company has been experimenting with features such as a new way of charging the phone.
As more information becomes available about the possible new way to charge your iPhones in 2012 we will keep you updated as always.
On Wednesday July 6th 2011, new Skype-powered feature the social network launched to make video calls on Facebook.
_______________________________
Facebook introduced video calling, group chat and a new design on Wednesday during the social network's much-heralded "awesome" announcement.
Wearing his signature grey t-shirt and blue jeans, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced the features at a press conference in Palo Alto, Calif.
Facebook Video Calling was developed with Skype, the world's largest Internet phone company.
Users with a webcam on their computer will have to install a special plug-in before they can make calls using Facebook from inside their web browser.
Callers will be able to see and hear the recipient, and vice-versa.
With the group chat feature, users can talk with several other Facebook friends at the same time using only text.
"We think this is going to be something that's really valuable," Zuckerberg said. "A lot of people have asked for it."
Group video calling is not yet supported and it was not clear how the feature would be available to mobile users. Zuckerberg said the new tools "are mostly web features."
The design changes are aimed to make it easier for users to see a list of friends they can chat with, while taking advantage of widescreen computer displays.
Wednesday's announcement from Facebook comes almost a week after Google launched its latest social network, Google+.
Google+ is accessible on an invite-only basis, but the company is keen to get a foothold in the social networking sector.
The new service has been received with mostly positive reviews, earning praise for its Circles and Hangouts features.
Circles lets users easily drag-and-drop contacts into groupings with customizable security and privacy settings.
Hangouts, meanwhile, lets users chat and collaborate in realtime using webcams. Users may also collectively watch videos on YouTube.

Lovely Facebook. When history is written, how shall ye be judged? Big questions aside, seen below is an Excel spreadsheet. But wait, it’s not! It’s a Faceook feed! What? Yes, a Facebook feed in disguise. See, there’s this website called HardlyWork.in that allows users to convert their Facebook activity to an unassuming Excel sheet. The funny part is everything that’s written on the faux Excel sheet is a newsfeed. .As the perpetual curse of tyrannical employers and stiff office environments, Facebook is probably responsible for so much lost productivity, it’s no use calculating the amount.
Anyway, having contemplated Facebook, it seems that it isn’t so bad to be using it at work. It would be downright ridiculous if you aren’t on Facebook when you spend the 9 to 5 in, say, an ad agency or a media outlet. There’s more news happening within the social networking space than any traditional beat. (Duh.)
So unless you’re in a sensitive line of work like the military, nuclear plants, or public office, professional ethics may demand you curb Facebook use. But who are we to preach?
Oh right, this post is about HardlyWork.in. Check it out, it’s pretty cool.
Here’s a question for the fans reading this: At the place you work in, how much time do employees usually spend on Facebook?
Clearly the Android Market is growing rapidly, and there’s no reason to even mention the Apple App Store, which just breezed by the 100,000 iPad app marker. But we can’t leave the little guys out, especially when their growth is also relatively impressive. Specifically,Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace is reported to have passed 25,000 applications by a site that tracks the app store’s activity.
That number is a bit questionable as other app trackers have listed the Windows Phone Marketplace as just under the 25,000 mark. Either way, Microsoft’s app store is growing, and at a faster rate than it had been. From the beginning of its launch in November to the end of March, the Windows Phone Marketplace only boasted 11,500 apps. That’s about 2,300 apps per month. Three months later, another 13,500 apps have made their way to the Marketplace, an average of 4,500 apps per month. With Mango headed our way, there’s no reason to think this rapid growth won’t keep up its pace for a while.
The Japanese dads must be excited for this summer as they can finally bring their kids out into the woods. You know how popular beetle hunting is in the country. But after the hunt, what happens to the precious beetles? Strapya thought to save the beetles by putting them on the iPhone case.
It’s like you have a stuffed animal on your iPhone. Only this time, the size makes it possible for you to bring it anywhere and of course, since it’s an iPhone case.
Earlier this week while visiting Seattle, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg tipped off Seattle press that the company would be launching an “awesome” new product next week that has been built by Facebook’s Seattle team. The press invitations to that event went out today, saying nothing more than “Please join us for an event at Facebook” on July 6.
This isn’t even the first time we’ve heard about Skype-powered video chat on Facebook. Rumors surfaced last year about such a product, but it never materialized.
The report is sparse on details about how it will work. Will it require a software download? Will it support group video chats? Undoubtedly it will be a major addition to the Facebook platform. Google+, the search giant’s answer to Facebook, launched with a group video chat feature, Google+ Hangouts. Google is seeing a lot of traction with the feature, but if Facebook can release a video chat product next week, Google+ Hangouts may not seem as revolutionary.
We’ve reached out to Facebook and Skype for comment.
Update: While Facebook and Skype aren’t saying anything officially, our sources confirm that Skype-powered video chat on Facebook will indeed be launching next week.
Google just announced that it is teaming up with Virgin America Airline to bring customers some pretty nifty in-flight perks.
From July 1 through September 30, Virgin Airline passengers will be able to check out free Google Chromebooks, the search engine's new cloud-powered laptop, to be used during their flight.
Users can check out the Chromebooks at their departure gate by swiping a credit card, which Virgin says is "for deposit purposes." Virgin is coupling the offer with a complimentary WiFi session during the flight, so users can go online and surf the web--even at 35,000 feet.
"Our goal has always been to use the best in technology to reinvent the travel experience -- and help bring some fun back to flying," Virgin America VP of Marketing Porter Gale said on Thursday, according to a press release. "As another California company known for connecting people in new ways, Google has been a key partner with us from our very first flights in 2007 -- powering the interactive Google maps onboard our Red entertainment platform. We're delighted to team up with Google yet again in a way that keeps our guests entertained and connected -- in both the physical and virtual clouds."
Passengers checking in at Virgin America gates in San Francisco International, Boston's Logan, Chicago O'Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth will see a Google "Chrome Zone," where the Chromebooks can be reserved for flights between SFO and DFW, ORD or BOS.
Google is also teaming up with New York's Ace Hotel, which will offer Virgin Atlantic fliers a complementary Chromebook during their stay at Ace.
Previously, during the 2010 holiday season, Google and Virgin partnered to offer passengers free in-flight WiFi.
No other country on Earth seems to be more dedicated to realizing Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell than Japan. They might as well deify Ridley Scott and proclaim him the spiritual father of the country’s various humanoid robotics projects. Pictured below is the lovely Hanako 2, a rather stimulating female root that’s supposed to train dentistry students and oral healthcare professionals in the fien art of looking after teeth.Of course, Hanako 2′s overt femaleness might rub a few women as a tad sexist (would the robot be treated less better it it were a guy?) But over looking the implications, Hanako 2 is a fine piece of work.
Of course, the missing piece of Hanako 2′s backstory is he rlfielike appearance is a result of silicone. Manufacturer Tmsuk partnered with a ‘love doll’ maker to amplify her, uhm, feminine qualities. Oh yeah, Hanako 2 can simulate almost every type of facial movement and even speak.
What she can’t do is e your girlfriend. But no worries, as robotic better halfs are sure to come real soon. It’s only a matter of time now. Now for the creepy and rather titillating video:
Fring has just rolled out a new update to its iOS application which now has added support of group video calls via your iPad with up to four other friends and now allows you to make calls with both 3G and Wifi connections.
The new update now makes Fring the first group video calling app for the iPad and expands its compatible devices to include chat on 3G and WiFi to iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android and other smartphones.
Other features included within the new update include added Bluetooth support, together with bug fixes and connectivity improvements.
All you need to start using the Fring application is four friends also with Fring installed on their devices. You can now download the new newly updated free Fring application from the iTunes app store
Version 3 of the long standing uTorrent BitTorrent software has launched this week and brings with it some great new features including a new instant media streaming function and its free download for Windows only.
uTorrent 3.0 will now allow you to start downloading media files from their start to end allowing you to watch or listen to the file as it downloads. Other features include a new drag-and-drop function which has been added to make share your files with friends even easier.
Another great features is the new revamped remote access interface, which enables you to monitor your torrents from other computers or even your Android smartphone.
If those great new features weren’t enough the new version also brings with it updates to the performance, stability and user interface, making sure that uTorrent 3.0 keeps up the expected standard of the application and retains its place as one of the best BitTorrent packages available.
Islamabad: Today here i "Mubashir Abbas" going to show you something amazing that you can say, wow Creativity at its maximum :) Check out ThePakistan National Anthem played on Google’s Les Paul Doodle by a Young Pakistani Guy. one more thing i want to write here is "Its Not the Very Best One" in positive manner. TJD, GMA News: In just 48 hours, online musicians recorded some 5.1 years worth of music with the immensely popular digital guitar that Google made as a tribute to guitar hero Les Paul.
Google said that the amount of music, equivalent to 40 million songs, was recorded in the United States, where Google extended its guitar Google Doodle by an added 24 hours due to high public demand.
“In 48 hrs in the US, you recorded 5.1 yrs worth of music (40M songs) w/ last week’s Les Paul doodle! Keep playing," Google said in its Twitter account Saturday.
Last June 9, Google uploaded the guitar Google Doodle as a tribute to American inventor and “guitar hero" Lester William Polsfuss (Les Paul).
Paul, who is credited for popularizing innovations such as delay effects, phasing effects and multi-track recording, collaborated in the design of the “Gibson Les Paul" electric guitar.
He would have turned 96 last June 9.
The doodle was an instant hit, with musicians and even celebrities posting their works onlne.
Caving in to popular demand, Google gave the “Les Paul" doodle a permanent home online, after it initially extended for 24 hours the “Les Paul" doodle, but only in its United States site.
Click Here who wish to strum on the digital guitar can now go to and play to their hearts’ content. An earlier estimate by RescueTime, a time management and employee time tracking software, indicated 5.8 million hours had been spent on the doodle last June 9 alone.
RescueTime’s blog also noted tweets coming in for the trending tag #lespaul at a speed of 20 tweets/second or more.
“With each major online publication commenting and recommending the Les Paul Doodle, traffic was way up and people kept talking all day!" it said.
RescueTime said its estimates showed the average user spent 26 seconds more on Google.com than in previous time periods last June 9.
On average, users spent 36 more seconds time on last year’s Pac-Man Doodle, it added.
Yet, it said figures from Wolfram Alpha and Alexa showed Google’s daily unique vistor count went up to 740 million versus the 505 million last year.
“Google’s Les Paul Doodle consumed an additional 5,350,789 hours of time versus the 4,819,352 hours consumed by the Pac-Man Doodle ... Users did not spend much more total time at their computer than previous periods, but they did spend 10% more time at Google’s website than they typically would, meaning that the 10% more time spent at Google was stolen from other computer use time," it added.
On the other hand, Extreme Tech said the playable digital guitar may have cost Google $15,000 (P650,024) but cost the rest of the world a whopping $268 million (P11.613 billion).
The Game Boy iPhone 4 case is available in a range of funky colors which include yellow, orange, white, black, red and blue, and we think this is the most realistic Game Boy style case we have featured so far.
Obviously this case hasn’t been officially licensed by Nintendo, so we doubt it will be available for sale for very long, if you want one they are available for $8.90 each from Etsy

Handsets such as the Nexus S will help Samsung overtake Nokia as the biggest smartphone vendor, according to analysts. Photograph: Albert Gea/Reuters
Samsung will become the world’s largest smartphone maker this quarter, overtaking the struggling Nokia, which has led the market since 1996, the analysts Nomura forecast on Monday. Nomura also forecast that Apple will outpace the Finnish phone maker in the top end of the mobile market in the third quarter of this year, adding to its woes, which include dramatic cuts in its profit forecast and a downgrading of its credit rating. Other analysts agreed that Nokia’s position as the top seller in smartphones is likely to be overtaken either in this quarter or the next. Nomura is bullish about the prospects for Samsung, a Korean company which makes a broad range of electronic equipment, including smartphones running Google’s Android mobile operating system, Microsoft’s Windows Phone, and its own bada software.
In the first quarter of this year Nokia sold just over 24m smartphones worldwide, but it has since said that its mobile division is coming under pricing and sales pressure from rivals. Apple sold 18.7m iPhones in the first quarter of 2011, while Samsung sold 12.6m. But Samsung has been ramping up its production and shifting its focus to smartphones, which are more profitable than low-end handsets.
“Nokia looks set to relinquish its smartphone crown to Samsung and Apple,” Nomura analysts said in a research note. “Further emphasising the shift in power to Asia is our forecast for HTC to almost match Nokia during 2012.
”Nokia’s mobile division revenues and profits: what the analysts forecast Research firms Gartner and Canalys both said they saw Nokia – which created the smartphone market with its 1996 launch of the Communicator model – losing smartphone volume leadership later this year.
“If Nokia’s new phones [running Microsoft's Windows Phone software] are not well received in the third quarter and (with) the [Samsung] Galaxy S2 ramping up, Samsung might overtake them and become the smartphone leader in the third quarter,” said Carolina Milanesi, smartphone analyst for the research company Gartner.
Nokia has lost initiative in the smartphone market to Apple’s iPhone with its proprietary iOS operating system and Google’s Android devices, and at the lower end to more nimble Asian rivals such as ZTE.
Overall, Nokia still makes more cellphones than Samsung due to its strong position in basic cellphones and its wider distribution network in emerging countries. But analysts polled last week forecast that it will ship fewer than 100m phones a quarter this year for the first time since the beginning of 2009, and for only the second time since the end of 2006, as “white label” rivals begin to cut into its share of the wider business.
The company is abandoning its Symbian platform for smartphones over the next 18 months and switching to Microsoft’s software as part of an overhaul of its phone business set out in February by Stephen Elop, a Canadian formerly at Microsoft who was appointed chief executive in September.
On 31 May Nokia abandoned hope of meeting key annual and quarterly targets just weeks after setting them, raising questions over whether its new boss can deliver on the turnaround he promised.
Shares in Nokia were 0.6% firmer at €4.33 at the start of the day, in line with a slightly stronger technology sector.
